Job Title                                               Technical Sales Manager – Building Envelope Products

Job Description                               

Are you a driven sales professional with experience in promoting construction products into Specialist Installers, Contractors, Subcontractors, Distributors and OEM’s?

                                               

If so, we are working with a leading manufacturer of Building Envelope Products who are seeking to recruit a Technical Sales Manager to join their team with responsibility for promoting their products in the North England region.

                                               

The Role

To promote our client’s high quality, market-leading range of Building Envelope Products, gaining product usage and exceeding budgeted profit and sales targets.

The primary focus of the role will be maintaining and improving relationships with existing distributors along with developing relationships with Specialist Installers, Contractors, Subcontractors, Distributors and OEM’s                                       

 

Objectives

  • Achieve budgeted turnover and profitability targets
  • Manage and develop new business in the defined sales region through a consultative sales approach
  • Represent the company in a professional and proficient manner at all times

Principal duties

  • Manage key accounts within sales territory
  • Develop new and existing business within the region by working with sub-contractors, key OEM and distribution partners
  • Provide technical/consultative sales support by networking and building strong working relationships within all departments of the customer/client. This includes areas such as technical, estimating, purchasing and contracts managers.
  • Ensure you have good product and application knowledge at all times
  • Ensure the highest standard of customer service is provided at all times
  • Maximise profitability whilst securing the business
  • Pro-actively seek and secure projects within your sales region
  • Work closely with your peers to fully leverage all opportunities
  • Understand your competitors and report back on a regular basis any information of note
  • Complete all sales administration as required in full and on time

  • Able to fulfil administrative duties linked to functional role such as updating company CRM, completing expenses and populating sales meeting reports.

 

  • Ability to manage your own area, introduce tailored customer business plans to drive sales forward.
  • Track record of Commercial Sales in the Construction Industry.
  • Drivers license is essential.
  • Competent IT skills are required, will need to know how to use MS Office & Outlook.
  • Good communication skills with a friendly approach are needed.
  • The ability to work under pressure with excellent attention to detail is a must.
  • Sound commercial acumen and an ability to communicate with colleagues and customers to assist the closing of sales opportunities.
  • A high degree of professionalism and a good understanding of contractor and distributor relationships is required, with the ability to communicate at each of these levels where necessary.
  • Ability to prioritise work according to demand and work alongside colleagues internally and externally to deliver customer service excellence.

 

TERRITORY                                         North of England (M62 to Scottish Borders)

 

SALARY                                                Negotiable (D.O.E) + Excellent Rewards Package
