Job Description
Due to expansion, our client is seeking a Sales Account Manager, ideally, you would have strong experience in the Timber Industry and it would also be an advantage to have a good understanding of the Timber Engineering Sector. This position is for an experienced professional individual who has the ability to establish & build relationships at the senior level.
Reporting to: Managing Director
The company is a trusted supply chain partner in the UK construction industry and is renowned for its high-quality products. The role will involve working closely with the sales team in both sales & sales support, strengthening relationships with existing clients, and sourcing and developing new ones.
Key Responsibilities
- To develop both new & existing clients
- Manage sales & customer relations
- Educate customers on product range
- Accurately process orders and assist with monthly reports
- Assist with stock management & managing inventories
- Understanding customer needs and requirements, research accounts, identifying key players
- Maintain & expand your database
- Seeking out active sites making the necessary contacts and winning enquiries & ultimately the business
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required
- Proven experience in sales & sales admin
- Ability to prioritise under pressure
- General Timber knowledge essential & knowledge of the Construction sector
- Self-motivated with the ability to work with a minimum of supervision
- Confident and professional telephone manner
- Effective communication skills
- Customer-focused with sound commercial skills.
- Good IT skills & PC literate
