If so, we are working with a leading Global Manufacturer supplier of construction access solutions who seeking to recruit an International Account Manager for the EMEA regions.

The Opportunity

As part of our Client’s growth plans, they are looking for an individual who is well-established in the area of International Sales and Account Management and has experience in selling products to the Construction Sector. This is an opportunity for ambitious sales professionals to enhance their careers with the support of a highly regarded and rapidly growing brand.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Reporting to the International Sales Manager, you will be responsible for managing all sales activities in a specified geographical region and ensuring quality and consistency of product and service delivery.  You will be responsible for maintaining and developing sales within existing accounts and to develop new business from target accounts.

Key Responsibilities – Essential Job Functions:

  • Present and sell our Client’s products and services to current and potential new distribution partners.
  • Support international accounts.
  • At a local level, increase independent distributor footprint in specific geographical regions.
  • Prepare action plans and schedules to identify existing and new specific targets.
  • Follow up and convert new leads and referrals resulting from field/marketing activity.
  • Identify sales prospects and contact these and other accounts as assigned.
  • Deliver any company brand-building or marketing activity messages to all communicate with customers.
  • Merchandise customer premises to ensure product appearance, point of sale material, and supply in designated national account customers throughout the allocated geographical area is to company and brand standards.
  • Identify and resolve customer/client concerns.
  • Prepare a variety of status reports, including activity, closings, follow-up, and adherence to agreed performance goals.
  • Communicate new product and service opportunities as well as competitor information.
  • Collaborate across departments to accomplish the work required to close sales and achieve sales and profit.
  • Participate in marketing events such as seminars, trade shows, and telemarketing events.
  • Engage with credit control when needed to ensure prompt payment of local accounts.
  • Provide on-the-job product training for customers.
  • Participate in company critical activity if required such as new business rollout/range review rollout.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the line manager.

Experience & Education Required

Essential:

  • Proven track record of selling into major international markets.
  • Selling products to end users is required.
  • Sales and training experience, with an emphasis on physical demonstrations and feature and benefits discussion.
  • Good general education with a demonstration of language and numeracy capabilities
  • Computer literate (All windows packages as well as competent CRM usage).

Desirable:

Foreign languages.

  • A full driving license (manual)
  • A willingness to travel extensively throughout the EMEA region when necessary, staying away from home when required.

Person Specification

In order to succeed in this role, you will need to be self-motivated with the desire to achieve goals and possess the ability to generate and convert business leads into sales.

Knowledge of the international market is essential along with previous experience in sales to distributors & end users.
