Job Description

Are you an up and coming, highly motivated sales person with a desire to grow develop and succeed in the Commercial Interiors sectors? Would you consider a career working closely in a consultative sales environment with design led interior products which are primarily sold to Architects, Interior Designers, Fit Out Companies and End Users?

Are you also looking for a sales role that involves the personal training and development that will teach you how to project track and manage a 360-degree sales process?

If so, we are working with a leading manufacturer of LUXURY FLOORING SOLUTIONS – Engineered Oak / Luxury Vinyl Tile / Axminster Carpets / Designer Rugs – amongst other solutions who are seeking to recruit an Junior / Entry level Sales Professional to join their already well established and highly respected team.

Breakdown of Development Path:

Year 1:

As Sales Support you will primarily helping with administration.

In our experience, being a successful salesperson / account manager / sales manager requires many different skills and a combination of skills much like being an elite soldier.

Being able to compete and beat your competitors is often about making sure you are more responsive, smarter and more professional.

In order to do this, you need to be an expert in administration so that you can support on a sale completion but also deliver an exception customer experience – attention to detail, getting things right and doing what you say you are going to do will inspire confidence in your potential client and build trust that you will deliver, every time.

The end result being that you will be highly skilled at administration, understand the detail in order for you to be able to effectively administer your own sales or coordinate your team to administer your sales when you are operating at a very high level.

Training:

The majority of your training will be on-the-job, learning the administrative process behind selling their products as well as learning the fundamental mindset behind being successful salesperson. 

This on-the-job training will be by shadowing Directors and other sales professionals in the business.

Pay:

Starting salary ranges from £18k to £22k – Dependent on experience and qualifications.

On completion of your probationary period (6 months) your salary has the potential to increase to £24k if specific, agreed objectives have been met (please refer to separate document that details Year 1 targets)

Year 2:

PROMOTION to Trainee Sales Executive

Pay:

£26.5K + Commission with a mobile phone & laptop

Where objectives have been achieved in your first year and performance is above minimum requirements, you will also be entitled to a company car or company car allowance.

On target earnings in commission will be £6,000 BUT there is no cap on this; the opportunity is limitless.

Training:

Product training – You will now have the chance to fully learn and understand our products, learning how to fulfill clients’ requirements and beat your competitors.

You will continue to shadow current Directors and Sales Manager as well as start to complete and handle these types of sales calls for yourself.

Grant Cardone Daily training & motivation at Grant Cardone Sales Training University – training is intense but will give you a solid understanding of the sales process.

Year 3:

PROMOTION to Sales Executive

Pay:

Where objectives have been achieved in your second year and performance is above minimum acceptable standards your salary will increase to £32K + Commission.  All other benefits i.e. phone & laptop and car allowance or company car remain the same.

On target earnings in commission will be £9,500 BUT again there is no cap on this; the opportunity is limitless.

Year 4:

PROMOTION to Senior Sales Executive

Pay:

Where objectives have been achieved in your third year and performance is above minimum acceptable standards your salary will increase to £40K + Commission.  All other benefits i.e. phone & laptop and car allowance or company car remain the same.

On target earnings in commission will be £17,000 BUT again there is no cap on this; the opportunity is limitless.

Year 5:

PROMOTION to Sales Manager

Pay:

Where objectives have been achieved in your fourth year and performance is above minimum acceptable standards your salary will increase to £50K + Commission.  All other benefits i.e. phone & laptop and car allowance or company car remain the same.

On target earnings in commission will be £25,000 BUT again there is no cap on this; the opportunity is limitless.
