Job Description

Are you a driven, focused, autonomous and detailed focused CONTRACT and/or PROJECT MANAGER with solid experience within the Flooring sector?

Do you have experience working and managing high-value projects within a variety of commercial end applications i.e., Commercial Offices, Schools, Universities, Hospitals etc?

If so, we are working with a highly respected and well-established specialist Contractor and Supplier. They specialise in all areas of flooring (textile and resilient), hygienic wall cladding and subfloor preparation and are seeking to recruit a CONTRACT / PROJECT MANAGER to join the business with responsibility for maximising project efficiency in London & Northern home countries

The Role & Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will have a solid track record and experience within the flooring sector and be well attuned to projects of a similar nature, ideally supported by an excellent in-depth understanding of the design and sub-contracting process from inception through to completion.  

The successful candidate will be able to provide technical consultation to clients and identify and capitalise on upselling opportunities.

You will be highly organised, motivated, detail-focused and driven; you will need to consistently follow up with contractors, clients and to ensure that bids are received and work closely with other members of the team in order to close and win business.

Role / Responsibilities / Duties

  • Sub-Floor Reports & Specs on secured projects
  • RAMS & COSHH – Compiling prior to starting  
  • O&M Manuals – Provide Info for Head Office to compile
  • Fitters Orders, Info, Drawings and Labour Pay Certs
  • Material Reservations / Purchase Orders / Material Planning / Material Call Off
  • Pre-Inspection – In advance of project starting
  • QA Reports – On all processes
  • Tool Box Talks / Safety Matters on site ( and all paperwork the main contractor requires )
  • Resourcing and allocating labour, agreeing to programme, and running the project from start to finish, on time and on a budget ( whilst checking quality and signing off the works )
  • Pricing Variations & Agreeing Final
  • Electronic Filing / E-mails / Records / Communication – All these are important, and need to be kept on top of

 

Location                             ESSEX, HERTFORDSHIRE, CAMBRIDGESHIRE & LONDON

PLEASE NOTE: This is a Fixed & Field based position with flexible working arrangements

Candidates must be within a close commutable distance from our client’s Essex offices and happy to travel when required.
