Job Title                                               BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER  – SOUTH EAST  

Job Description                               

Due to expansion our client is seeking a BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER, ideally you would strong experience in the Timber Industry and it would also be an advantage to have a good understanding of the Timber Engineering Sector. This position is for an experienced professional individual that has the ability to establish & build relationships at senior level.

 

                                                               

Reporting to: MANAGING DIRECTOR   

The company is a trusted supply chain partner in the UK construction industry and are renowned for their high-quality products. The role will involve working closely with the sales team in both sales & sales support, strengthening relationships with existing clients and also sourcing and developing new.

Key Responsibilities : BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

  • To develop both new & existing clients
  • Manage sales & customer relations
  • Educate customers on product range
  • Accurately process orders and assist with monthly reports
  • Assist with stock management & managing inventories
  • Understanding customer needs and requirements, research accounts, identify key players
  • Maintain & expand your database
  • Seeking out active sites and making the necessary contacts and winning enquiries & ultimately the business

 

Knowledge, Skills required : BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

  • Proven experience in sales & sales admin
  • Ability to prioritise under pressure
  • General Timber knowledge essential & knowledge of the Construction sector
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work with a minimum of supervision
  • Confident and professional telephone manner
  • Effective communication skills
  • Customer focused with sound commercial skills.
  • Good IT skills & PC literate
