Job Description

Are you a driven & high calibre sales professional with experience in promoting Exterior building products to Builders Merchants and Contractors throughout the South East and London?

If so, we are working exclusively with Siderise, who are one of the world’s leading designers and Manufacturers of Exterior Building Products for the UK and Overseas markets and whose growth is attributable to over 45 years of innovation, intelligent manufacturing and technical expertise.

Siderise are seeking to appoint an experienced and highly motivated Senior Business Development Manager to join their team in this newly created role to drive the growth of a revolutionary product range designed to resolve an issue in traditional brick and block construction.

Siderise’s Masonry Division was introduced due to increasingly strict regulations around fire and building safety.

There is a clear need for solutions that have been specifically engineered and tested for masonry facades, Siderise’s innovative range of passive fire solutions for masonry allows architects, fire engineers and contractors to meet the fire safety requirements of their projects simply, without compromises.

The Role

The primary function of the Business Development Manager role is to drive awareness and interest in their masonry product range whilst building and developing a large pipeline of projects the South East and London, primarily focusing on High-rise and Commercial projects.

For this role, you will need to have strong existing relationships with key decision makers and influencers in:

  • Key Builders Merchants & Specialist Distributors
  • Brickwork Contractors
  • End Users

In addition, you will be a champion and driver of new products being introduced into the market, more specifically for the Siderise Non-Combustible Cavity Tray.

Key Performance Indicators:

Excellent sales and influencing skills

Proven negotiation skills

Ability to work autonomously and as part of a commercial team

Ability to manage your own diary and work away 2-3 nights per week when required

Planning and preparing presentations and meetings

Continually monitor competitor activity

Manage customer expectations

Confidence working with high order values

Key Experiences and Qualifications:

In order to be successful in this role, you will need to have a proven track record and the ability to demonstrate an excellent of the above routes to market.

Ability to demonstrate existing relationships with key influencers and decision makers within Brickwork Contractors, Builders Merchants, Specialist Distributors and End Users.
