Are you a driven, high calibre, talented and ambitious sales professional with experience in promoting interior products ideally with a strong and stable background in Luxury / high end Bathroom, Spa, Sanitaryware or closely aligned interior products with a strong understanding and/or network of connections and relationships with Luxury KBB Retailers/Showrooms along with small, medium, large and boutique Architect & Interior Design practise who specialise on luxury residential projects and who also work closely with high net worth individuals on residential projects?

If so, we are working with a highly design led, disruptive and ambitious Manufacturer of LUXURY SANITARYWARE SOLUTIONS who are seeking to recruit an experienced BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER to join their team with responsibility for promoting their products in the required area of specialisation.

The Role
- Due to aggressive growth and expansion my client’s specialist Retail & Consumer Specification division are now seeking an experienced BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER to join their team.
- The candidate will need to have a proven track record in dealing with high end showrooms and partners within the bathroom and kitchen sector, selling industry related products.
- A critical part of the role requires a record of previous success and experience working with interior designers and architects that are specialists in working on boutiques residential projects and on client’s homes.
- There is a major link between working with this type of specifier and the route to market involving KBB retailers and showrooms.
- The main focus of this position is to support their retail / distribution business by developing current partner relationships, securing displays, stock deals and obtaining specifications with the retailers, whilst gaining specifications with the A&D community and creating an opportunity pipeline for our business that can facilitate product supply through our retail partners or directly dispending on circumstances.
- Success will be measured on the increase of sales for all product types available through the business.
- There is also plenty of scope to open new showrooms as they look to further enhance their database due to the expansion of their portfolio, this will enable them to seek new partners and opportunities.
- Working with the rest of our team you shall furthermore look to increase our level of consumer opportunities as they continue to create added awareness within the A&D community.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing first class relationships within the A&D community which will result in consumer opportunity specifications and orders created by the push and pull effect.
Responsibilities
- Retail Sales, achievement of annual Order Entry target
- The sales of the company’s group related products
- Visiting and developing relationships with the current retail partners and opening accounts as applicable.
- Visiting and securing specifications with Architects and Interior Designers.
- Finding new business via showrooms and through specification work to create a growing opportunity pipeline.
- Make presentations and hold CPD seminars in digital and face to face formats as applicable.
- Create collaborations between A&D sector and approved partners.
- Proactively manage CRM system as an essential business development tool.
- Create specifications / generate quotations.
- Attend exhibitions, networking events and associated fairs.
- Follow up on all sales leads and new business areas / sectors.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required
- Self motivated individual who can work well either on their own and in a team.
- Candidates must ideally have a background in MID TO HIGH END SANITARYWARE, BATHROOMS, KITCHENS, SPAS, SHOWERS or very closely aligned interior products and solutions.
- Ability to manage own area, introduce tailored customer solutions to drive sales forward.
- Proven track record and a proactive approach to Solution Selling, a natural way of relationship building and have strong existing relationships and understanding of the Luxury retail and Consumer specification marketplace.
- Enjoy selling PREMIUM AESTHETICALLY ORIENTATED PRODUCTS
- Competent IT skills are required – MS Office, Word, Outlook etc
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly approach to problem solving
- Ability to work under pressure with an excellent attention to detail
- Sound commercial acumen and an ability to communicate with colleagues and customers to assist the identification and closing of sales opportunities.
- A high degree of professionalism and an exceptional understanding of the specification design process with the ability to communicate at each of these levels where necessary.
- Ability to prioritise work according to demand and work alongside colleagues internally and externally to deliver customer service excellence.
