We are retained by a Leading Independent Timber Merchant & Distributor that specialise in Timber and Timber & Based products who, due to continued success, are seeking to recruit a professional Business Development Executive to join their internal team in Essex

The role

Your role will be to build and maintain relationships with Joinery Companies, Manufacturers & Designers, offering product, sales and technical support with a view to gaining product usage.  You will work alongside the Sales Manager and play a crucial role in targeting new customers and developing long-standing partnerships with existing and future customers.

Knowledge, Skills & experience required

• Experience selling timber and timber-based products, plywood and panel products.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Relationship Building Skills
• Ability to work in a team
• PC Literate
• Successful sales skills
• Confident making outbound calls to new & existing customers, comfortable working autonomously while using own initiative to think of new ways to increase leads and sales
• Self motivated
