The Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to manage a well-established territory with a strong portfolio of existing accounts. As Area Sales Manager for the South East region, you will be responsible for maintaining and growing current client relationships while also identifying and securing new business opportunities.

Reporting to: Sales Director

 

 

Main Objectives of the role:

  • Managing, building, and developing existing key relationships with kitchen, bedroom & bathroom retailers, buying groups, and distributors.
  • Managing manufacturers & kitchen contractors
  • Presenting new products and promotional offers.
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for retailers, addressing their enquiries, resolving issues, and proactively identifying opportunities for upselling
  • Conducting regular visits, business reviews, and performance analysis.
  • Collaborating with internal teams, sales, marketing, management, etc.
  • Growing network by identifying and engaging with new potential kitchen retailers/merchants.
  • Train and develop customers’ knowledge of the products and conduct sales product training presentations to customers.
  • Work collaboratively with the Sales Director to seek and develop new sales opportunities.
  • Staying updated with lighting & associated technology, industry trends and market developments.
  • Working to pre-determined target
  • Maintain and update CRM – call reports, displays and sales data.

 

The Candidate

This role will suit someone who thrives in an autonomous role where a high level product and customer expertise are required to successfully grow and develop the region.

 

 

Skills and experience required:

  • Proven track record within field sales – selling business to business within the KBB industry
  • Existing relationships with kitchen retailers and merchants (very beneficial)
  • Excellent technical understanding of kitchens, bedrooms & bathrooms
  • Sound retail sales account management experience
  • Ability to build and strengthen customer relationships
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Self-motivated, driven, enthusiastic and pro-active
  • Ability to work under pressure and solve problems
  • Ability to demonstrate a tenacious and resilient mindset
  • Be able to manage time and priorities effectively
  • Proficient with MS packages such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills
  • Full UK driving licence (essential)
  • Flexible with business travel requirements
