We are retained by a leading distributor of building products who, due to continued success and expansion, are seeking to recruit a professional Area Sales Manager to join their team.
Reporting to: Regional Sales Director
To maximise Area sales potential by increasing product sales to the identified customer segments and by achieving growth in the size of the customer base, through the effective management and development of a portfolio of customers.
To ensure that our Client is the fastest and most effective distributor at introducing new products to its chosen markets through:
- Supporting the increased penetration of the targeted customer groups
- Supporting the achievement of sales targets of new products whilst maintaining growth on existing products
- Support the introduction of sales of new and specialist products to customers within the Area
- To ensure sales and margin targets are achieved
- Seek out opportunities to identify future and existing sales opportunities within the Area
- Ensure that all areas of customer expectation are exceeded
- Build close and trusted working relationships with operational colleagues to ensure excellent
- levels of customer service and satisfaction are delivered to customers and in order to achieve company’s goals
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required
- Proven experience in a proactive sales environment
- Proven track record of results achievement
- Ability to self manage within job role
- Proven ability to communicate and influence effectively
- Ability to network both within internal and external teams
- Ability to work within a team locally, regionally, and nationally
