Job Description

Are you a driven sales professional with experience in promoting construction products to Architects and Contractors?

If so, we are working with a leading manufacturer of water management solutions who is seeking to recruit a Regional Sales Manager to join their team with responsibility for promoting their products in the Southern region.

The Role

To promote our Client’s high-quality, market-leading range of roofline drainage systems gaining product usage and exceeding budgeted profit and sales targets.

The primary focus of the role will be to identify project opportunities and develop a project pipeline within the South of England. You will target National House Builders, Contractors and Specifiers, taking projects from conception through to completion.

Specific duties would include:  

  • Concentrate on the Specifier, Contractor and project stage of the supply chain
  • Provide detailed quotations specific to individual project requirements
  • Complete complex site surveys and provide sufficient detail for pricing, drawing and ordering purposes
  • Deliver an agreed level of project conversion rates
  • Visit Main Contractors, Sub Contractors, Specialist Installers and Specifiers
  • Project manage contracts as required, discuss with internal sales office, drawing office and fabrication
  • Work in unison with the relevant ASM to ensure a smooth order completion is achieved
  • Keep the CRM system up to date
  • Provide technical support for the brand supporting the team both internal and external
  • Feedback market intelligence on competitor activity within the entire product portfolio
  • To work closely with the NPD and RD&I teams feeding back new product development opportunities driven either by competitors or contractor feedback
  • Delivering an agreed amount of CPDs to Specifiers

 The Candidate

In order to be successful in this role, you will need excellent communication skills and the capability to impart clearly and concisely detailed accurate information to both internal and external stakeholders.

You will also need to be able to manage individual project requirements from conception to completion.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required

  • Be able to negotiate prices within agreed parameters to give the company the best margin opportunities
  • Be confident in discussing detail and design concepts with Architects, Contractors and Clients at every stage of the procurement process
  • Be able to work in a fast-paced environment under pressure whilst maintaining a high level of accurate output in a time-critical part of the business
  • Ability to manage national coverage
  • A clean driver’s licence is essential
  • Competent IT skills are required, will need to know how to use MS Office & Outlook
  • Sound commercial acumen and an ability to communicate with colleagues and customers to assist in the closing of sales opportunities
  • A high degree of professionalism and a good understanding of how the supply chain works in the procurement of our Client’s products.
  • Ability to prioritise work according to demand and work alongside colleagues internally and externally to deliver customer service excellence.
