If so, we are working with a renowned manufacturer of construction products who are looking to appoint a Marketing Manager to strengthen the position of their business in the UK.  

                                               

The Role

The main purpose of your role will be to design and implement a strategic marketing plan that aligns with the company’s overall objectives whilst leading and mentoring a small dedicated marketing team.

 

Specific duties would include:

  • This role will be responsible for the marketing of all product portfolios
  • Design, implement, and monitor marketing strategies that align with the company’s objectives.
  • Manage social media platforms, corporate communications, and branding to ensure a cohesive public image.
  • Oversee the creation and execution of digital and print marketing campaigns.
  • Prepare and monitor the marketing budget on a quarterly and annual basis.
  • Use data analytics to gauge the effectiveness of campaigns and to optimise future marketing strategies.
  • Supervise and mentor the marketing team and foster a collaborative environment.
  • Be able to seek market sector research and analysis for position, price, gap analysis and customer need/solution providing.
  • To have the ability to analyse the market and the proposals for new products in liaison with the NPD teams and to also identify the market potential of our existing products from the product portfolio
  • To be able to promote and communicate the businesses’ solutions to the marketplace and to produce unambiguous technical product specifications for training and literature
  • Manage and develop the small marketing team, which will include the support for technical literature, communications, and exhibitions.
  • Where possible, to share best practice ideas and solutions with other group business units
  • Drive the divisional ESG strategy, co-chair monthly meetings and align with the marketing plan.
  • Have the ability to be a self-starter, curious and ambitious will put the candidate at an advantage.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required

In order to be successful in this role, you will need previous experience in B2B marketing along with a strong knowledge of the building products industry.

Skills and experience required:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred
  • Proven experience in marketing management and digital marketing tools is highly desirable.
  • Strong skills in leadership, communication, and analytical thinking are crucial.
  • Preferred 5 to 10 years’ experience in the construction industry
  • Experience of working with merchants, contractors, and specifiers
  • Analytical but with the ability to see the bigger opportunity
  • Experience of analysing markets and the launching of new products
  • A minimum of 2 years managerial experience
